Analysis of graduate longitudinal study released

To help understand physiotherapists early in their career, representatives from the Board, Physiotherapy New Zealand, University of Otago, and Auckland University of Technology established a longitudinal cohort study of physiotherapy graduates surveyed annually from 2013 to 2020.

With COVID-19 delaying this work, Business and Economic Research Limited (BERL) was commissioned to undertake an analysis of the survey, from which a report has now been released.

Key findings, including demographics, work after graduation, job satisfaction, career pathways, and remuneration, will be used to help improve outcomes for graduates when moving from tertiary study into the workforce.

The Board is pleased to be able to release this valuable research along with PNZ, AUT, and Otago university. The full report can be read here.
