BERL report – Level 3 impact on patient outcomes

Profile of respondents

In March 2021, 1,900 Auckland physiotherapists were invited by the Physiotherapy Board of New
Zealand to be part of a survey on the impact of level three COVID-19 restrictions on patients. In
total 358 physiotherapists took part in the survey, for a response rate of 19 percent.

Practice setting

Within the survey, respondents were asked to identify which practice setting they operate in. As
shown in Figure 1.1 below, almost 60 percent of respondents worked in a primary care practice.
The second largest practice setting was community, with 25 percent. The remaining practice
settings had less than 10 percent of respondents respectively.
