On 04 – 05 June 2019 the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal (HPDT) considered a charge laid by the Professional Conduct Committee against Mr Michael Evans physiotherapist of Gisborne (the physiotherapist).

The Board is very pleased to announce that we have recruited Damon Newrick and Maarama Davis as our two new Professional Advisors. Damon and Maarama will share the role previously filled by Cheryl Hefford and will be joining our other Professional Advisor Jon Warren. Specialist consultation results and next steps

High Court finding – Jeremy Spence

The High Court has released its decisions in the matter of Physiotherapist Jeremy Nathan Spence.

Mr Spence was found guilty of professional misconduct, censured, and required to pay costs of $2500.

Māori leadership scholarship applications

​Applications are now closed for the 2019 Physiotherapy scholarships with the Māori clinical leadership programme Ngā Manukura o Āpōpō.

The eight-day clinical leadership training programme consists of four two-day wānanga spread over a four-month period with programme sessions designed to stimulate learning, discussion, debate and action.
